Features like high collars, helmet-compatible hoods, and wrist gaiters add extra protection and comfort. Consider fit, mobility, and whether you need insulation or prefer to layer. 

3-in-1 ski jackets offer great versatility, combining a waterproof shell with a zip-in insulated liner. They’re ideal for skiers who want to adapt to different weather conditions without buying multiple jackets. While they may not match the performance of dedicated shells or insulated jackets, they’re a practical and budget-friendly choice for casual skiers. 

Check the insulation type and weight - higher grams per square meter indicate more warmth. Down insulation offers premium warmth with less bulk, while synthetic insulation stays warm even if wet. For very cold conditions or if you tend to get cold, choose jackets with more insulation or pair a shell with warm mid-layers.
