KID'S SOCKS

Sort By:

The best socks use a blend of materials for comfort, warmth, and durability. Merino wool is excellent for insulation and moisture-wicking, keeping feet warm and dry even when wet. Synthetics like polyester or nylon add stretch and durability, while bamboo offers softness and breathability. Choose blends tailored to your child’s activity and weather conditions.

Proper fit is crucial. Socks should be snug but not tight, with no bunching or slipping. The sock should rise just above the boot to prevent rubbing and blisters. A good fit ensures comfort, promotes circulation, and helps regulate temperature during long walks or ski session.

Specialist socks provide targeted cushioning, temperature regulation, and moisture-wicking properties not found in standard socks. This reduces the risk of blisters, keeps feet dry, and offers comfort during extended activity. Regular socks, especially cotton, can retain moisture and cause discomfort or chafing.

Look for socks with extra cushioning at the shin and heel, seamless toes to prevent irritation, and materials that wick moisture away from the skin. Merino wool or high-performance synthetics are ideal for warmth and dryness. Ensure the socks are long enough to cover the calf and stay up inside ski boots.

While some socks are versatile, ski socks are typically taller and offer more padding for warmth and protection inside ski boots. Walking socks may be shorter and less insulated. For best results, choose socks designed for each activity to maximise comfort and performance.
