SNOWBOARD ESSENTIALS

At Snow+Rock, we understand your demand for the highest-performance gear, and your accessories like hats, neckwear, gloves and mitts||| should be no exception. Be prepared for anything the outside throws at you this winter with Snow+Rock's collection of winter accessories. With men's gloves, women's gloves, and kid's gloves, beanies, and scarves for all occasions and pursuits, we have something for everyone this season - with a range of styles, colours and fabrics.

As outdoor and winter sports specialists, we know how essential it is that your hands and head stay warm while out exploring. Extremities like your hands, head, and feet lose temperature and warmth the fastest, so it's imperative you keep them covered up and warm - especially in the chillier months and climates. That's why we offer a wide range of ski gloves, glove liners, and winter mittens for your hands to help you beat the chill with the best fabrics, thermal technologies, fits, and features whether you're on the slopes, cycling to work, hiking in the hills, or taking part in an early morning snowball fight on the way to drop the kids off at school!

Here at Snow+Rock, our extensive collection of men’s, women’s and kids’ winter accessories are available in various fits, styles, and colours - from an enormous selection of the best performance brands available: like PatagoniaRabThe North FaceReuschBarbourMountain Equipment and many more!

The essentials include a snowboard, bindings, and boots for your riding style and skill level. You’ll also need a helmet, goggles, waterproof jacket and pants, gloves or mittens, moisture-wicking base layers, and warm socks. Don’t forget sunscreen, snacks, and a hydration pack to stay protected and energised on the slopes.

Specialised snowboarding clothing is highly recommended. Snowboard jackets and pants are designed to be waterproof, breathable, and allow freedom of movement. Base and mid-layers made from merino wool or synthetics help regulate temperature and wick moisture, keeping you comfortable and dry throughout the day.

Safety gear is crucial, especially for beginners. A certified helmet is a must, and wrist guards, padded shorts, and back protectors can help prevent common injuries during falls. Goggles protect your eyes from sun, wind, and snow, enhancing visibility and comfort in changing conditions.

Pack extra gloves, goggles, boot dryers, a multitool for on-mountain adjustments, sunscreen, lip balm, snacks, and a water bottle or hydration pack. For multi-day trips, consider bringing a beanie, neckwarmer, and backup goggle lenses for varying weather conditions.

Select a snowboard based on your height, weight, and riding style - softer boards are more forgiving for beginners. Boots should fit snugly without causing pain and match the flex of your bindings. Consult shop experts or rental staff for personalised recommendations.
