I would give anything by this company 0 stars if possible. The price is ridiculous, the products are heavy and you can get better performing options from brands such as Arcteryx, Rab and even North Face. I've been on their website and have discovered that not a single product of theirs uses any goose down. It is all duck down which I think is a bit strange considering the name of the brand is Canada "Goose". Would Canada Duck not be a better name? Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if the duck down has never even seen or heard of Canada. Just a fashion item that isn't worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by DavidCCCH Excellent vest but not suitable as a layer garment.
I returned the Canada Goose vest after trying it on several times at home and considering what I really wanted it for which included being able to wear it under a gore tex shell. It was not intended for that purpose being too heavy and bulky due in part to its external fabric. But itis a well made comfortable garment that would be suitable for walking around in the autumn in town or suburbs. It is not really a "performance" vest. To replace it I then bought (from S&R) a Microlight vest from Rab which is much more suitable. I am happy with it. I also then bought a Rab Ascent down jacket which I have not had much opportunity to wear until now but which is well designed (except detachable hood), well constructed and I am sure it will be very warm.

The gilet I bought is expensive but great quality. I had difficulty tracking down the colour/size combo I wanted but the S&R sourced one and had it delivered to my local store. Highly recommended.
