Rossignol Exp 88 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by A TRUE ALL MOUNTAIN SKI THIS SKI MANAGES TO FUFIL THE TWIN GOALS OF BEING 'ON RAILS' ON PISTE AND FLOATING BEAUTIFULLY ON POWDER. OFTEN THESE DO NOT SIT COMFORTABLY TOGETHER, THE EXP 88 IS MASTER OF BOTH. ON PISTE WITH ITS 15M RADIUS IT CAN BE PLACED ON EDGE AND REALLY CARVE HIGH SPEED TURNS WITH AN ENERGETIC TRANSFORMATION BETWEEN TURNS. OFF PISTE ITS WIDTH UNDERFOOT GIVES IT FLOAT WHILE THE WIDE TIP LIFTS IT CLEAR EVEN IN HEAVY CONDITIONS. IF ONE SKI COULD EVER BE THE ONLY ONE YOU WILL EVER NEED THIS IS CERTAINLY IT. 08 April 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A set of skis providing dramatic uplift in my performance After a number of years on elderly ski's, Snow and Rock spent time assessing what I needed and suggested the Rossignol EXP 88's. On the first snow they were out on their impact was immediate. From hesitant and imprecise turns and limited speed capability, I went to confident and comfortable carving, on more challenging runs than I had been able to manage previously. Their grip, confidence in turning, rate of acceleration, high speed stability were all excellent. Even better, in new powder, the float and turn was excellent. In all, a dramatic uplift in my skiing capability all brought together by the excellent focus and design of the EXP88's. 09 March 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Work for me like no other The Experience 88 are very nice skis. And a true all mountain performance ski. The ski performed great on the piste, at speed and cutting through crud and ice without difficulty in moderate powder floated well making it power great fun, and for the first time I was looking to ski off the piste. On this ski I had great fun in the powered for the first time, having changed from a pure piste ski the differece was unbelievable. Quick turning ski in the bumps and trees. Stable at faster speeds and makes long turns just as good as short turns. 01 March 2015

Glossary

Extended Sidecut:Rossignol developed the longer sidecut to improve high-speed grip while simultaneously improving low-speed handling. Extending the sidecut far into the tip means that the ski can be in contact with the snow along its full length when the skier is angulated and at high speeds. At lower speeds, rotation becomes easier.
Auto Turn Rocker:A profile with 70% standard camber in the center of the ski and 30% rocker at the tip and tail. The high underfoot camber delivers secure grip for on-piste performance. The slight tip and tail rocker gives a power-assisted steering effect with effortless control, as well as excellent versatility in powder and on the piste. Multi-snow - Versatility - Control - Maneuverability - Multi-performance.
Light woodcore:Made from Paulownia wood, it is 30% lighter than other timber species, meaning that skis are easy to control and carry.
Air Tip:Exclusive to Rossignol, the tip is filled with air for maximum lightness and built to retain maximum torsional rigidity. The weight is focused in the centre of the ski to maximise control and power beneath the skiers feet.
