Red Chili Matador Velcro Rock Shoe
Sound climbing shoe for bouldering
Great climbing shoe, suits any keen boulder that wants a climbing shoe to perform. From placing your foot on the smallest feature to planting heel hooks or looking to balance with a toe hook.
They break in really well, give a max of two weeks to break in.
Velcro strapping is very secure and two hooks at back of shoe aid getting the shoe on knowing that you want the snuggest fit to maximise it's potential.

Good technical shoe but poor build quality
Bought as a first pair of downturned-toe shoes and initially impressed. Three months in, the velcro strip on the foot arch closure has worn through and the rubber is developing the kind of alarming hole at the toe that my old Evolv's took over a year to start exhibiting. As a technical shoe the Matador does pretty much everything you could ask for (although heel volume remains a bit of a problem for any heel-hookers), particularly on the overhang. But durability/build quality issues mean that i'm going to be replacing this pair a lot sooner than planned and will not be considering Red Chilis when i do so.

Fab rock shoe, brilliant for challenging overhangs.
The really agressive toe down shape makes hooking into overhangs a doddle and the heal hook is decent too. Would advise trying on as many sizes as possible, and when you find you get cramp almost instantly go up half a size. The give after a few good sessions will have them as 'comfortable' as a rock shoe should be and the tripple velcro straps allows quick escape for when it gets really intense.
