just wanted a good day to day walking shoe
As the title suggest I just wanted a general day to day walking shoe, I'm not into hiking or climbing activities. Initially I found them to be quite heavy and quite stiff so I suffered from lots of blisters so they are taking a while to wear in. Overall I'm not finding them the most comfortable shoe I've had but the by the looks of things they look like they will last a long time as the build quality seems quite sturdy. Just spent the weekend walking around Paris and have suffered with sore feet after a days walking. Probably not the fault of the shoe so can't complain too much. Can't really give these a poor rating so have gone for a middle of the road approach.

A fantastic all round approach shoe
A great versatile approach shoe. Some may be put off by the fact is can be a bit heavy but in practice this shoe has the best grip I have experienced in an approach shoe. I have used this shoe on long hikes and on scrambles and I am really impressed. The grip is second to none and even performs on wet ground. The shoe although a little more expensive than others on the market is well worth the extra cost as it performs so well and gives much more support than other rival shoes. Due to the fact that I am in approach shoes/ hiking boots every day because of work, I have spent more time in these shoes than my walking boots as they are ideal for both hiking with groups or spending a day supervising at the crag. Although they are not waterproof, I find they hold their own as well as others shoes on the market.
Overall, I would recommend this shoe to anyone looking for an approach shoe that can be used when scrambling, low grade climbing/bouldering or hiking. They also provide excellent comfort. Buy this shoe!

Camp Four: brilliant shoe
Camp Four provides great stability, pretty good water protection (for a shoe), and feel great on. The sole has bags of grip, and they look great.
I didn't think it would be possible for a shoe to take the place of a walking boot, but it seems it is. Would still use boots if conditions were definitely going to be wet, though.

The Five Ten Men's Camp Four has a Nubuck leather upper and a Stealth® C4™/S1™ combination outsole. Its moulded PU external heel cage adds support and stability, while the lace-to-toe closure can be worn relaxed for a long distance fit, or tightened for climbing and scrambling.
