The North Face’s warmest jackets use high-fill power goose down, ranging from 500 to 800 fill, with the Summit Series® featuring 800-fill down for maximum warmth. For cold climates and high performance, look for the Summit Series®, Trevail, or Impendor lines, which offer superior insulation and warmth-to-weight ratio. 

The North Face uses both natural goose down and synthetic insulation. Down jackets provide unmatched warmth and compressibility, while Thermoball™ synthetic insulation mimics down clusters, retaining heat even when wet and packing down small for convenience. 

Many North Face jackets feature advanced waterproof and breathable technologies like DryVent® and GORE-TEX®. These fabrics are seam-sealed and treated with durable water repellent (DWR) finishes to keep you dry while allowing moisture to escape, ensuring comfort during active pursuits.
