MSR Tents

While the hydrostatic head ratings for rainflies (typically 1,200–1,500 mm) and floors (about 3,000 mm) may seem modest, real-world testing shows MSR tents reliably keep out rain and ground moisture, even during sustained downpours.

MSR doesn’t rely on a single waterproof rating. Instead, they tailor the waterproofness, durability, and weight for each tent model and its intended use. For example, lighter rainflies may have lower ratings to maintain flexibility, while tent floors are rated higher to resist abrasion and standing water.
