Van Deer was founded in 2021 by Marcel Hirscher, an eight-time overall World Cup champion and one of the greatest alpine skiers. After retiring from professional skiing, Hirscher launched Van Deer to apply his deep expertise and passion to creating high-performance, handcrafted skis designed for racers and freeriders alike.

Van Deer skis are handmade in Austria using superior, locally sourced materials. They are crafted with precision, pressed longer for better bonding, and finished to World Cup racing standards. The brand emphasises limited production and innovative design driven by Hirscher’s direct involvement.

Van Deer offers a range of skis for all disciplines including junior and race skis, freeride, and touring skis. All models are developed with the same meticulous attention to detail and are personally approved by Marcel Hirscher.
