The North Face Litewave Futurelight Shoes are engineered for tackling rough terrain at speed, that's why The North Face have harnessed breathable Futurelight technology for the membrane and gone all trainer-like in terms of weight.
They feature durable rubber outer soles that are basically all-terrain workhorses, capable of dealing with wet and dry conditions as well as rocky and slabby ground. The moulded heel overlays and toe caps help prevent stubbed toes and bruised ankles when pacing along uneven trails. And for long-lasting comfort they've got OrthoLite Hybrid insoles that retain their cushioning power after extended use.

But it was actually founded in 1966 at an altitude of 150 feet above sea level, on a beach in San Francisco’s North Beach area. Their mission is to provide the best gear, support the preservation of the outdoors and inspire exploration. Judging from this year’s collection, which matches style and rugged protection, they’re still very much on track.
