Rated 4 out of 5 by Also available in powder blue I learnt to snowboard on the softer predecessor to this boot and after 10 years of wear and tear needed an upgrade. The F20 is a slightly stiffer boot (but still comfortable) which is good for progression once you get beyond beginner level. The boots have a new lacing system and a "slip zone" along the rear interior to help slide your foot into the boot. I have narrow heels which will rise easily in a wider boot fitting, so have very limited boot choice beyond the Salomon brand. After 14 days of boarding in my new boots this year, I've found that I have to re-tighten the lacing system 2-4 times a day, especially after a run on more demanding terrain (black, off-piste). I'm fairly certain I'm lacing in correctly, but the narrow nylon laces gradually slip through the pinch/clasp widget, or the locking mechanism comes completely un-done. However, the new lacing system does make it difficult to over-tighten your boots, resulting in foot cramps and cold feet. Overall the boots are fair value. There's no way I would have ever purchased the infantalizing princess pink version, so compromised with powder blue instead. It's time manufacturers made stuff for women in a more substantive colour pallet and with the same performance characteristics available to men. 27 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing! I decided to get these boots soon after starting to snowboard and they have been amazing! I have quite narrow feet so found it quite difficult to find boots that would keep my heel firmly in place but I have never had any heel lift issues with these boots. They're warm and comfortable and are stiff enough to get a good response from your board. Ideal for beginners progressing onto intermediate slopes. They were initially quite stiff and I did have some arch cramp to start with but this subsided after a few hours of use. The lacing system can be a bit fiddly to start with or when adjusting with gloves on but make lacing up a piece of cake once you're used to them. 28 May 2012

The Salomon Women's F20 boots are sleek, low profile and ideal for intermediate riders looking for performance and close fitting comfort. By fusing the liner to the shell, Salomon have made the F20 lighter with a lower profile that gets you closer to the snow for the ultimate in board feel, and gives great heel hold for narrower ankles. Inside the liner Salomon use Gel+Foam for consistent comfort and cushioning around the heel area, and Mystic 3 footbeds that stimulate blood circulation around the foot. The shell of the F20 features the Powerlace Pro lacing system for easy hassle-free lace tightening, and a low profile, shock absorbing outsole for super sensory board feel and cushioning.

  • Fusion liner with Self Gel foam

The first auto locking system in snowboarding has a smooth one pull action and durable locking mechanism. Loosen off when you're taking it easy and with one pull lock the boot for amazing heel hold and response.
Rusty Outsole:40% lighter than the norm, with a shock protecting ADIPRENE compound for maximum toe feel and impact absorbing heel cushion.
Mystic 3 Footbed:The only antimicrobial footbed in snowboarding that increases blood circulation, prevents fatigue and embodies natural healing from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head. Uses zonal reflexology tech.
Powerlace Pro:
Fusion liner with Self Gel foam:An internally integrated liner with fast and powerful lacing that maximises board feel and minimizes boot volume for no toe drag. Self Gel is a dynamic fit foam that conforms to your foot throughout the day. As your foot changes, your foam changes too.
