General

Carrying school books, binders, stationary, a laptop, water bottles, even your lunch and jacket is what the Jester from The North Face is designed for. In fact, if it wasn't for the fact the pockets and storage compartments make it so easy to find your gear, you'd easily be able to lose stuff in all the space. And this season, with the help of some students, they updated the Jester so it now includes double handles, is self-standing and has a slimmer profile, making commuting on packed trains a lot less of a hassle. Aside from that, it still has a protective laptop sleeve, front compartment with dedicated space for pens and pencils, a zipped pocket, two external water bottle pockets and a bungee system on the outside for stuffing your bike helmet or jacket under. Speaking of bikes, you can cycle safely thanks to the strategically-placed reflectors offering 360° visibility and by attaching a light to the bike light loop. The FlexVent suspension system is made up of flexible moulded shoulder straps, a comfortable padded mesh back section and a breathable lumbar panel.

About this brand

sr-tnf-brand-page-header

Few brands inspire confidence like The North Face. Year after year they make some of the best ski wear on the market. Bold colours, flattering fits and this year there’s something even more exciting in the line-up, a new fabric they’ve developed to deliver superior comfort, FUTURELIGHT. An added bonus of FUTRELIGHT is its eco-friendly credentials. Recycled materials go into the product, the waterproof coating comes from PFC-free chemicals while the factory is solar powered. The North Face is named after the coldest, most unforgiving side of a mountain. But it was actually founded in 1966 at an altitude of 150 feet above sea level, on a beach in San Francisco’s North Beach area. Their mission is to provide the best gear, support the preservation of the outdoors and inspire exploration. Judging from this year’s collection, which matches style and rugged protection, they’re still very much on track.
