Wax your skis every 4–6 days of skiing, or more frequently if you’re on icy or abrasive snow. Regular waxing keeps your bases hydrated, improves glide, and protects against wear. If you notice grey, dry patches on your bases or your skis feel slow, it’s time for a fresh wax.

Sharp edges provide better grip and control, especially on hard or icy snow. Check your edges regularly - after about every 10 days on natural snow, or more often on artificial or icy conditions. If you feel dullness or find burrs, touch up with a file or have them professionally sharpened.

Inspect your skis, bindings, and boots for visible damage, loose screws, or worn parts. Address minor issues early to prevent bigger problems. Also, check your bindings for proper function and safety, and make sure your bases and edges are clean and in good condition.

Thoroughly dry your skis to prevent rust, then give them a good tune - sharpen edges, repair any base damage, and apply a thick layer of storage wax without scraping it off. Store your skis in a cool, dry place to prevent the bases from drying out and edges from corroding.

Waxing hydrates and protects the ski base, improves glide, and enhances overall performance. It also helps repel dirt and moisture, reducing friction and preventing the base from drying out or becoming damaged over time.
