The North Face created the Men's L2 Hoodie fleece specifically for high-alpine expeditions, when you're switching from high to low-paced activities in challenging conditions. Firstly, it's incredibly light - you'll hardly notice you're wearing it. But you'll be glad you are because it not only features FlashDry™ with high-performing wicking capability, but also because they have incorporated their new FUTUREFLEECE™ fabric technology. This full-loop fabric construction optimises the balance of thermo-regulation, weight and packability in this extremely thin layer.
Climb-specific features include a pre-tensioned under-helmet hood, seamless shoulders for enhanced carrying comfort and a harness-compatible chest pocket with integrated mesh pocket. Thumb loops come in handy when layering up or down. Summit Series™ layers all work together for optimum performance in terms of breathability, insulation, weather resistance and moisture management.

The North Face is named after the coldest, most unforgiving side of a mountain. But it was actually founded in 1966 at an altitude of 150 feet above sea level, on a beach in San Francisco’s North Beach area. Their mission is to provide the best gear, support the preservation of the outdoors and inspire exploration. Judging from this year’s collection, which matches style and rugged protection, they’re still very much on track.
