The Spyder Bitsy Teeny Queeny Jacket is a pretty little thing that uses a stretch fabric with an XT coating and a Spylon finish to keep the weather out. It also has 140g of ThermaWeb insulation throughout. GLOSSARY: XT - Spyder coating penetrates the fabric in such a way that it forms a honeycomb structure with billions of micropores. The pores are too small for water droplets to penetrate (making it waterproof) but large enough to allow interior moisture vapour through (making it breathable). Spylon - A DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish applied to the fabric exterior that prevents it absorbing surface moisture. It has a DWR of 80% after 20 washes and also guards against water and oil-based stains. ThermaWeb - Spyder’s own ultra-warm, high-loft synthetic insulation that contains polyester fibres, which trap and hold body heat.
