Inspired and designed by Jess Kimura's progression from the streets to the backcountry, the Equaliser was born to level the playing field on the mountain and offer snowboarders a high-end, all mountain option designed specifically for women. Forget patronising graphics, clichéd colour-schemes and second-hand constructions; the Equaliser by Jess Kimura features a ground-up womens-specific design suited to slaying the mountain top to bottom, no matter the conditions.
A custom-designed hybrid camber profile promotes incredible control. Utilising traditional camber between the feet provides stability at speed and superb edge hold on-piste, this blends into reverse camber in the nose, while the rear benefits from flat camber blended in to a small amount of reverse camber. This complex profile creates grip and drive from the rear of the board, while increasing float in the nose and creates a lively, poppy and fun board to ride even if the conditions aren't the best on the hill.
The core is dual-density Ashpop wood that benefits from durability and responsiveness, which is supplemented by an aramid and flax fiber blend designed to absorb chatter and vibration through the board, creating a day-long ride that stays comfortable.
All of this tech wouldn't be complete without a high-speed, sintered base and that's exactly what Capita have done with the Equaliser.
