The Kazu Kokubo Pro snowboard from Capita is the switchblade of powder boards. While the common theme of great powder boards are usually a larger surface area and surfy feeling, the Kazu Kokubo Pro comes in a compact chassis with a wide nose for powder and a slight taper in the tail. This enables an extremely responsive feeling under-foot and has netted the Capita team back-to-back Transworld Good Wood Awards in the Quick and Maneuverable category.
It features a super light, FSC certified wooden core with bamboo power rods to decrease weight while maintaining a high level of pop that is long-lasting and produced in a sustainable way. The tech doesn't stop there, it's loaded with more high-end components like a core ash woodgrain topsheet and a brand new high-speed sintered base to ensure that float is at a maximum and the board remains agile, responsive and torsionally stiff.
The profile features minimal positive camber that lifts into rocker in the nose, further enhancing float in deep snow while giving a fun, "broken in camber" feeling upon your first ride. We loved this board when we tested it as it was absolute stack of fun to carve on-piste with, while also being stable, powerful and light underfoot in deeper snow.
