Product information

The Family Tree One Hitter from Burton is a directional, all-mountain freeride-focused board that truly comes alive at high speed. With a playful flex profile and a stiffer tail than nose, the One Hitter lets you take advantage of every side-hit on the hill with ease and style. Whether you're carving on-piste, getting into some fresh powder or looking to simply boost of natural rollers on the hill all day long, the One Hitter has got everything you need to get the job done.

The One Hitter features a directional camber profile, traditional camber extends from the tail of the board through the the front foot binding inserts for a great sense of power and stability at speed, with an early rise rocker in the nose to increase float in powder and allow you to push through any chopped up snow with ease. Burton suplement this with a directional flex profile in the board, making the tail stiffer for pop and drive while softening the nose slightly to allow for an increase in control when conditions aren't cooperating.

The base is constructed from a recycled sintered material, making for an extremely fast and smooth ride with good wax retention, the density of the sintered base also makes for a more durable option than standard sintered bases. The environmental focus doesn't stop there, the whole board is held together with Burton's Super Sap Epoxy, which is produced using bio-based materials to reduce the carbon footprint of each board by 50% over conventional petroleum-based epoxies.

Burton have made a superb snowboard in the Family Tree One Hitter, it's spectacularly nimble and is great for those of us who love to make those last-second decisions on our line down the mountain.

More about this brand

sr-burton-header

Founder, Jake Burton was a pioneer of snowboarding who campaigned to get boarding into resorts. When you’re hitting the terrain park you don’t want anything to hold you back or look out of place. Burton is a snowboarding icon whose heritage in the sport goes back to its earliest days. They have extended GORE-TEX to the main range to give guaranteed waterproofing. This collection has workwear appeal and comes in great colours and prints. Bib pants are this season’s stand out start of the Burton collection. Because they come up like a dungaree there’s no chance of snow getting in, whether you’re slashing across the steeps, or wiping out in the deep. They’re made of durable fabrics ideal for snowboarders and are designed to ensure you look your best too. There’s also a handy phone pocket on the bib chest. Jake Burton and his wife, Donna Carpenter, started their Chill Foundation in 1995. Since then they’ve worked with over 25,000 young people to help them realise alternatives to the struggles they face. Check out their sustainability messages here
