The Women's 10Y Rain Coat from Ayacucho will give you an elegant protection against the elements. The three-layer exterior of this jacket is made of 100% polyester. The fabric feels soft and supple to wear and regulates your temperature. The jacket also has a 100% PFC-free water-repellent finish.
This practical rain jacket has an adjustable hood with a stiffened peak, and the main zip down the middle has a storm flap. The two hand pockets have a press-stud fastening, and the cuffs can be adjusted with press-studs, so you can prevent wind and rain from getting inside. The 10Y collection is an ode to some classic pieces that have been given a makeover especially for Ayacucho’s ten-year anniversary.
Washing waterproof clothing
Always check the labels on a garment before washing for any specific washing instructions. We recommend that you wash waterproof clothing regularly using a technological washing detergent. This will help to make your favourite garment last longer. Remove any soap residue from your machine. Before starting, fasten all zips, loosen the tension on cords and close any Velcro fastenings. Never use a fabric softener. Rinse well to avoid any excess washing detergent remaining on the garment. After washing use a product to restore the garment's waterproof layer. We sell appropriate spray-on products, under the Nikwax and Granger brands. Repeat this process as soon as the garment shows signs of absorbing moisture on the outside.
Ayacucho makes quality, high performance outdoor technical clothing, built to last a generation.
Ayacucho products feature a variety of clever materials and treatments to maximise both comfort and performance, come rain, shine or snow. The integration of Tencel and bamboo, for example, in their Tropical clothing will reduce perspiration and help to keep mosquitos at bay; UV resistant materials offer protection from the sun; and responsibly sourced down in their insulated products ensures you stay warm, whatever the conditions.
Ayacucho cares for animals, and for the environment
They don’t use down obtained from live plucking, and selected Ayacucho® items are made using natural materials such as bamboo. And water repellent clothing is finished with an environmentally friendly Bionic Finish Eco process.
Working towards a fairer world for all
All Ayacucho products – except for bonnets and scarves – are made in Asia, in factories that comply with the BSCI code, ensuring good working conditions and a fair wage for workers.
