Highly versatile, the Fortrez Hoody is an essential piece for climbers and alpinists. The hoody's Polartec Power Stretch with Hardface Technology is an exceptionally warm fleece with superior abrasion resistant properties. It has a smooth face that sheds moisture and layers easily, and a high level of versatility that makes it perfect for mixed alpine conditions.
The trim fit helps maximize the fabric's performance. By staying close to the body, better thermal efficiency is achieved, and a more rapid transfer of moisture vapour is facilitated. The trim fit also allows easy layering as conditions change. The hood is slim with the stretch in the fabric, allowing it to layer under a helmet or StormHood. A Phasic AR panel is integrated into the hood to be used as a neck gaiter or balaclava.
Arc'teryx builds in freedom. With articulated patterning, underarm gussets and stretch materials, the Fortrez moves easily with body. The hip length cut with drop back hem stays put under a harness or pack strap, and flatlock construction minimizes seam irritation. The two hand pockets are streamlined, and a small pocket on the sleeve is easily accessible.

Arc'teryx challenges what exists, manufacturing new ideas is their culture. Passion and curiosity fuel a continual drive to explore, to push the boundaries of what is known, regardless of assumptions. Founded by Vancouver climbers in 1989, Arc’teryx has but one single goal; to create equipment that enables a person to be immersed in the moment of doing, regardless of external conditions.
Their Design Centre is a hive of likeminded individuals, a hands-on think tank of active designers, materials experts, pattern makers and product developers who know what they want, how it will be used and why it has to work. Arc’teryx's dedication to craftsmanship is expressed through their manufacturing processes, quality and integrity can only be achieved through effective partnership with their factories and suppliers.
Arc’teryx strive to deliver products that are as good as they can possibly be, so that they perform over time and beyond expectation, this is the heart of what Arc'teryx does and the roots of the company — to create what does not yet exist.
