Created for warmth and weather protection in backcountry environments, the Arc'teryx Voltair 30 Rucksack delivers the insulation and security of a mitten with a surprising level of dexterity and grip. Built with a rugged version of Gore-Tex fabric across the palm and fingers, and a highly breathable version on the back of the hand, the mitten seals out water, wind and snow.

Laminated to the palm and fingertips are TPU reinforcements. The material's hydrophobic properties prevent the reinforcements from wetting out, saving weight, and more importantly, preventing heat loss.

On the back of the hand, an area more exposed to cold, lofty PrimaLoft Silver insulation is used for maximum warmth. A lighter layer of PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Hi-Loft is added to the back to extend wear, particularly in high flexion areas. In the palm and fingers, areas where dexterity, grip and durability are critical, PrimaLoft Gold Eco with Grip Control is used. This denser insulation has a lower profile with less bulk.

The short gauntlet fits under or over jacket sleeves, the elasticated adjustable wrist strap creates a secure seal and precision fit that keeps heat closer to your fingers..
