The Arc'teryx Men's Thorium SV Vest combines the exceptional warmth of a down jacket with the freedom of a vest. This gives it a versatility to perform as an outer layer in dry, moderately cold weather, or as a lofty mid layer for more severe cold. Lofty European grey goose down delivers exceptional warmth for little weight, is durably resilient, and packs easily. The vest's sewn through construction reduces weight and increases packability. The outer fabric is soft, durable Arato 40 nylon, a lightweight material that withstands abrasion, packs compactly and has a DWR finish to repel moisture.
Down Composite Mapping technology combines the goose down insulation with panels of Coreloft synthetic insulation in areas prone to moisture. The vest's athletic fit is streamlined enough to fit under a shell, but leaves room for layers underneath should it be worn as a standalone. Gaskets are placed under the arms to block drafts, an internal dump pocket stows gloves or a hat, an internal zipped pocket secures a smartphone or wallet, and two insulated zipped pockets warm the hands.

Arc'teryx challenges what exists, manufacturing new ideas is their culture. Passion and curiosity fuel a continual drive to explore, to push the boundaries of what is known, regardless of assumptions.

Their Design Centre is a hive of likeminded individuals, a hands-on think tank of active designers, materials experts, pattern makers and product developers who know what they want, how it will be used and why it has to work. Arc’teryx dedication to craftsmanship is express through their manufacturing processes, quality and integrity can only be achieced through effective partnership with their factories and suppliers.
