The Mens Acrux AR Mountaineering Boot from Arc'teryx is a sturdy boot for a huge range of alpine conditions and terrain that combines the warmth of a double boot and the protection of a super-gaiter boot with the lightweight, low volume advantages of a single boot to create a piece of footwear that offers excellent durability, the most comfortable fit and superior performance.
The Arc'teryx Adaptive Fit technology utilises a removable bootie that employs stretch textiles and minimal seams to create an instant custom fit with no pressure, the GoreTex membrane of the bootie is exceptionally breathable as well as waterproof and helps keep your foot dry from the inside out as well as from the outside in. The perforated PE foam of the bootie is exceptionally quick drying and the rubberised sole makes it a great basecamp bootie when you are resting between big climbs.
The outer boot is preformed to compliment the bootie's Adaptive Fit performance while providing insulation and a secure foothold. The highly breathable GoreTex gaiter with laminated construction delivers total protection with a high level of abrasion and puncture resistance to offset potential damage from crampons and rocks. The specially designed Vibram AR outsole is designed for support and sure footedness. The tread and construction feature a semi-blocked toe, with anti-slip grooves, a medial climbing support zone, and heel created to provide braking on steep descents. The Vibram Mont rubber compound maintains its performance in sub-zero conditions without a hitch.

Arc'teryx challenges what exists, manufacturing new ideas is their culture. Passion and curiosity fuel a continual drive to explore, to push the boundaries of what is known, regardless of assumptions. Founded by Vancouver climbers in 1989, Arc’teryx has but one single goal; to create equipment that enables a person to be immersed in the moment of doing, regardless of external conditions.
Their Design Centre is a hive of likeminded individuals, a hands-on think tank of active designers, materials experts, pattern makers and product developers who know what they want, how it will be used and why it has to work. Arc’teryx's dedication to craftsmanship is expressed through their manufacturing processes, quality and integrity can only be achieved through effective partnership with their factories and suppliers.
Arc’teryx strive to deliver products that are as good as they can possibly be, so that they perform over time and beyond expectation, this is the heart of what Arc'teryx does and the roots of the company — to create what does not yet exist.
