A great overall product
Overall, this product is very good. I have used it for primarily single and multipitch climbing as well as a little bit of abseiling. apart from being quite bite-y on the ab, which all modern belay devices are, I have no quirells, it does exactly what it sets out too with good quality. what i also like about it is its thicker tube stock, which means that it will stand up to a good beating, time after time before being worn.
for a general multi-use belay device i think its very good for its price. its not amazing in any specific use but good all-round. would highly recommend it for the general climber.

The Wild Country VC Pro II's design is based on the principles so effectively demonstrated by the success of the original VC, that any all-around device needs to do the three essentials well: paying out quickly, holding falls securely and abseiling safely.
The VC Pro takes this one step further by doing this brilliantly across a wider more modern range of rope sizes. The VC Pro 2 will deal with single Ropes from 9mm upwards and double ropes from 7.7mm upwards.
