Icebreaker Base Layer
I've used this product during various activities such as running, hiking and skiing. I wear just this alone and just a jacket fit for the climate I'm in. Usually in this country its's a soft shell lightweight jacket but a recent trip to the alps skiing I wore this underneath my ski jacket and was more than sufficiently toasty with this. The half zip allows for extra breath-ability when required and the comfort of the wool means that there was never any irritation with wearing it over sustained periods. I notice that its also good for not stinking too much after a sweaty session, always a plus!

Great product... keeps very warm, lightweight
This product is a must as it is extremely lightweight and kept me warm despite only wearing a jacket over it (and this was in -12 C)

Great Thermal top
I have been very impressed by this shirt in terms of keeping me warm on very cold days through handling the sweat on warmer days. In terms of the latter, I experienced no under arm smell like I typically have with other thermal tops.

Great Piece, but not what I was looking for
I've owned the Everyday Long Sleeve Half Zip for several years, back when they didn't even make the Oasis. I was never quite sure what the difference between the two was, until I bought this. I've used the Everyday LS top as a snug base layer, either under a cyciing jersey, or while running (I don't like things flapping in the breeze, and I am slender). The everyday fits snug, but not crazy tight like a compression piece. The main differences between the Oasis and the everyday are (1) the Oasis does not fit as snug and (2) it feels as if the Oasis is made of a slightly softer wool (hence the price premium I guess). The Oasis also has a nicer/bigger zipper tab. You could wear the Oasis out for dinner, but the everyday fits more like a tight athletic piece, you'd probably wear something over. It's excellent quality, and I would recommend it to a friend, but for a different purpose than the everyday piece. If you are not slender, then the Oasis may fit snugger, and be a better choice.

Although -15C it kept me perfectly warm
A great product, well worth to invest, although very pricey, you only need 1 or 2 max for a week skiing

great base layer when cycling
When the temps are in the 50s to 60s in Southern California, I use this as a base layer when I'm on long cycling rides. I put a thin short sleeve cycling jersey over it and perhaps also a light windbreaker. As time passes and the temps rise, I can unzip at the neck (and also zip down or remove the windbreaker). When I'm finished with the ride and sitting with friends for coffee or lunch, I remove the cycling jersey, and then I'm wearing a nice merino jersey that has no offending odor!

This Shirt Did it All
First wore the Oasis Half Zip under a rain shell during a drive through a series of storms along the east side of the Sierra headed for a ski resort. When I arrived six hours later, I replaced the shell with a ski parka and skied in the Icebreaker all afternoon. Left it on for dinner replacing the parka with a jacket.
Designed for cool weather? The Icebreaker Long Sleeve Half Zip served me all day long! And I skied in it all the next day.
Lightweight, no odor after intense activity, kept me warmer than advertised, with a perfect fit.
