Great all mountain ski I did some research before buying these skis, looking at various reviews and YouTube tests. I ski mainly on piste but sometimes dabble in fluffy stuff in between. And regardless of how much it's snowed overnight or if its still chucking it down, I'll still go out. For this reason I've ended up skiing on piste but after major dumps of snow and ungroomed runs. Using hired skis I've really struggled to deal with these conditions so I was looking for all mountain skis that would serve me in all conditions. Depending on what website you look at these Fischer Koa's are rated as mostly off piste or half and half. I took the opportunity to try them on a demo day at Hemel Snow Centre, along with 3 other pairs of skis. I strongly recommend taking advantage of demo days so you can find the skis that are right for you. Ok I admit I haven't used them for real yet on the mountain but I can already tell from limited skiing at Hemel that these really perform. They turn well with a reasonable radius and are very responsive. They help in finishing turns as well. I'll do another review when I return from Austria in January 13 December 2012

Glossary

HyVent® 2L:Utilizes a 2-layer construction so that it stays breathable and waterproof in extreme conditions. It has the ability to efficiently manage moisture and to channel water vapour so you stay dry from the inside out. In-built stretch properties enhance mobility.

Recco® avalanche rescue reflector:Using sophisticated radar technology, the Recco reflector forms the passive element of a 2-part avalanche search system. Ski resorts and mountain rescue teams carry Recco detectors, which send out a search signal, and the Recco reflector bounces back a directional signal that directs the rescuer straight to the reflector. More than 600 resorts and rescue services around the world use the Recco Rescue System as part of their immediate response.
Chimney Venting™ system:Dramatically improves airflow through the pant, reducing both heat and humidity whilst greatly increasing breathability. The system is based on the simple principle that hot air rises. StretchVent™ mesh strategically placed in the upper section of the leg gaiter functions as a highly efficient air intake, allowing cool, dry air to flow in as heated, moist air rises and exits the upper thigh vents. In addition, StretchVent™ doubles as an effective energy absorber, keeping the gaiter in place while the legs do the hard work.
