Great comfort and warmth The only disadvantage is the lack of a reinforced area at the bottom of each leg as during my first week of use I have experienced small tears at the ankle area. 09 April 2013
Everything I could wish for. After settling a niggling size issue, these come up bigger than advertised so are flattering from the start, my Athens Blue Monte Cargo pants arrived as promissed. I have just come back from a week in Austria and having "tested" the pants thoroughly in a wide variety of conditions, I have to give them top marks across the board. The look, fit and feel of them is great. Having taken a few tumbles, mostly on very hard ice, I can vouch for their robustness. With mumerous pockets, storage space is never an issue. They are warm when fully zipped up, you might want a base layer underneath on very cold days though. The cooling vents work very well on warm afternoons. All the zips are easy to grip, even with gloved hands, and work well, without getting caught or being grabby. Sure you can pay twice or half the money for ski pants, but overall I'd say The North Face Monte Cargo ski pants offer everything I could wish for. Couple them up with a Bansko jacket and you'll be happy all day every day on the mountain. 13 March 2013

Awesome Ski Pant! Having already tried the ski pants out over the weekend! they were Perfect! Best ski pants i have had in years! Comfy, Dry, Warm and cool if needed and very durable! Also they look really stylish when carving down a mountain and skiing in the powder! let alone in the bars in the evening! ;-) An all round stylish and reliable ski pant! 15 November 2012
Light and roomy Lightweight with a generous park fit. Durable but have not had a chance to really test them. Only complaint is that the pockets are a little fiddly. 24 September 2012

Glossary

HyVent® 2L:Utilizes a 2-layer construction so that it stays breathable and waterproof in extreme conditions. It has the ability to efficiently manage moisture and to channel water vapour so you stay dry from the inside out.
Thermoliner:A lightweight, low bulk fleece layer that retains body heat.
Chimney Venting™ system:Dramatically improves airflow through the pant, reducing both heat and humidity whilst greatly increasing breathability. The system is based on the simple principle that hot air rises. StretchVent™ mesh strategically placed in the upper section of the leg gaiter functions as a highly efficient air intake, allowing cool, dry air to flow in as heated, moist air rises and exits the upper thigh vents. In addition, StretchVent™ doubles as an effective energy absorber, keeping the gaiter in place while the legs do the hard work.
Pant-a-locks:This system uses snaps on the base of the powder-skirt to clip onto the belt loops of your ski pants. It works with most TNF pants, but also some other pants, and can also be clipped onto a belt.
