The North Face Men's DNP Hoodie 4.8 5 5 5
Great jacket A great item, which looks great and feels great. Small zip but overall I love the jacket. 03 March 2015
A very good piece of kit; then again it's quality guaranteed every time with North Face. Yes it's true that you pay for the name when you buy North Face gear, but some manufactures are not maintaining their quality - NF is. I have always relied on NF right back to my favorite purchase 2 NF expedition shirts which I have worn for over 10 years. I'm sure this DNP hoodie will be with both on those winter days on the hills and as an extra layer stuffed away in my daysack for those interminable delays on train platforms in the winter. Good product, worked really well with Gortex shell with moderate climbing exertion but needed full down jacket higher up (6,000m) I like the freedom of movement you get with this and a Gortex shell. It is very warm but easy to stow when you get too warm, collapses nicely in a small space. Higher up it is great when you are working hard and generating heat but I found at 6,000 meters that you really need a full down jacket - especially so when not climbing. I popped the down jacket right on top of this and the Gortex shell and still had room to manoeuvre. This is a great product. 17 November 2014
Surprisingly waterproof!! I bought this jacket for its lightweight comfort and insulating properties. Threw it on one day whilst hiking the Cairngorms and then was caught in an almighty downpour. When I got to shelter, I was surprised to find that my base layer underneath was still dry and the water had not penetrated the jacket, this was unbelievable as I've never known insulated jackets to do this. What's also great is the small size it stuffs down to in its own pocket for easy stowage. The jacket also looks stylish too, so is at home in the pub as well as the mountain!!
