Great toe protection
We buy this sandal for my daughter, who needs toe protection in the summer. She tends to drag her toes on the concrete, and the Toachi protects her feet all summer. I am glad to see that Teva updated the strap style. The fabric on the straps of the previous incarnation looked ratty really quickly. I'm hopeful that the Toachi 2 will continue looking nice all summer.

These are the best sandals available.
I have purchased 4 pair of these shoes over the past 2 years. I am an adult with wide feet. I stand on my feet all day. These shoes are so comfortable. I hope Teva never discontinues this style.

Not as comfy as adult Toachi, No buckle.
I am adult who fits in a youth size 5. The Toachi adult closed-toe model (size 7 women's) Was one of my most comfortable shoes. I took it traveling and trod happily through several museums .They are the shoe to have if you get caught in rainstorms. That beloved pair of shoes fell apart. Teva's warranty is excellent When I tried to get a replacement pair. I discovered that they stopped making the closed-toe version in the adult. I ordered this youth pair in a youth size 5, Chocolate Chip. At the same time I ordered the adult open-toe Toachi to compare. Both youth and adult have pleasing color and cushioned sole with arch support. The youth shoe was not as good with the arch support as adult and therefore was not as comfortable. The youth shoe did not have a quick release buckle which I love. The thing that made me send back the youth shoes was the absence of a heal adjustment. Without that I could not get them to fit properly with out sliding. I prefer a closed toe because the open toe gets caught in sidewalk cracks on occasion. The adult shoe just had better arch support and fastening adjustments than the kids shoe. I will tolerate the open-toe for the better fit and comfort. the adult Toachi provides I found the youth Ominium model was more comfortable on my foot than the youth Toachi. I added some stick-on gel arch support to the Ominum shoe since it lacked it. I want Teva to make more closed-toe models, more models with arch support and use more quick release buckles!

Well worth the price!
These are the perfect sandals for my 7 year old son. They cover his toes so they won't get scraped, are easy to get on and off and they are easy to clean up.

sizing could be a lttle more true to size but bigger is always better! wish teva could accomodate my son's orthotics!

Great sandal!
This is the second pair of Toachi sandals that I bought for my daughter. She wore the first pair through 2 summers, and the sandal was still in good condition (she just grew out of them). I bought her another pair this year in a different color, and she likes them. She has never complained about the shoe in any way - she runs in them and can do any summer activity with them. I wish they were a little cheaper, but they're definitely a durable, comfortable sandal, especially for active 6 year old girls.

Great shoes
Love the shoes! The only thing I would like to see is half sizes. We had to get my kids a size too big because the size down barely fit, but with no half sizes they will have to put up with big shoes until their feet grow.
