Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product I bought these shoes for cross country running. They are rugged yet comfortable. I was advised to buy these shoes over other pairs due to the fact that in order to run cross country one must first run on Tarmac to get there. The shop assistant was more than helpful with plenty of advise and expertise. He really new his business. His knowledge helped my choose the right shoe for my purpose. All combined it was an easy and straight forward shopping trip 25 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent trail running shoes .. Especially for speed as they are light . Great trail running shoe .. Tight across middle of foot and space at toe area. The heel is a bit hard for those not used to wearing this type of running shoe .. Made very well and have no signs of cracks or tiers . Laces good quality and never open when running on trails .. Which is very important ! .. Dirt cleans off them easily when light spray with water .. Overall great shoe for fast trail running , thanks . 25 November 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good quality trail /fell shoe with slightly more support I bought these to do what inov8 x talon 212s would do but with a slightly larger heel tie drop, a bit more support and a grip tgat wouldn't wear as quick on Lakeland rock trails. Ran the borrowdale fell race in them (in a lot of rain) and found them really reliable. They still gave me a few slips on certain rocks but so would any shoe. Looking forward to trying thm on dryer trails. Very breathable but durable, love the protection around the arch and toe. The overall fit is also perfect for my slightly narrower foot. Some other trail shoes don't give that reassuring pinch to make them feel that bit racier. Value only scored one less because I resent paying full price for any shoe. Just couldn't wait for these to hit the sale! Highly recommended. 22 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply excellent This is simply the best trail running shoe I have ever used (used to run in Inov8 Roclite, before then mostly Brooks Cascadia when I was still a heel striker). The grip on wet surfaces is excellent. La sportiva uses a variant of the sticky rubber it uses on climbing shoes. Let's face it, all trail shoes do more than fine in dry conditions: it's the wet rocks and humid tree roots that send us flying face down: with the Bushido i always felt confident). They are stiffer than Inov8, but they get a bit more flexible after a hundred km or so. They gave me blisters on the internal side of the heel but that was solved after the first couple of runs. I did this year Sierre Zinal race in switzerland with them (and most of the training for it) and they performed flawlessly on all terrain of the race (mud, soft ground, hard packed, sharp rocks, lungs shattering steep uphills and quad-breaking steep downhills). The rock-plate did particularly well on the sharp rocks parts. The full rubber toes protection is also very useful (I always felt that the lack of any decent protection on Inov8 was a major flaw, particularly if you run on technical rocky terrain. They feel very snug, so it's essential to try them before you buy to get the right size for you. They are expensive, but in my opinion worth the extra price (I'd rather spend a bit more on a good pair of shoes and save some money on a running t-shirt) 14 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by a good grippy lightweight trail shoe I recently completed a trail running weekend in the Brecon beacons with these shoes doing about 20 Miles a day. They dealt with the varied terrain very well and dried out pretty fast after getting them wet. My feet felt well locked in position however, going uphill the heels tended to rub slightly so I had to use compede plasters after a while, this may be because I hadn't fully broken them in. You can feel the trail under foot and these shoes are well suited to what they are made for, running on tough terrain. The toe guard is a useful feature. 21 July 2014
