Made for long distance trekking, but great for all round three-season mountaineering up diff/v.diff climbing
Just bought my second pair of these boots.
First pair has lasted five years, maybe 30-40 days per year on the hill so I'm happy with that.
Although designed supposedly for trekking, they're a great all round mountaineering boot offering superb grip, decent ankle support and a very good fit (for me!#. Even though the grip has almost completely worn away on my previous pair, they are still at home as much on wet grass as they are on a slabby Grade 3 scramble.
I would add that being fabric not leather boots, once the gore-tex goes, they need regular treatment to stay #mostly!) waterproof. This is the major reason for replacement, but they've performed very well for 5 years!
I've also found them comfortable for general travel, when you might be hitting the city streets but also planning to do a little mountaineering whilst you're away!

Perfect for mountaineering
that was perfect for all whether conditions. This is my second pair of Lasportiva boot and both of it never disapointed me.
