Specialist socks have the advantage that they are designed as a 'fit for purpose' sock. They are knitted to 'ergonomically fit' the foot and the fibres chosen have the required performance features. I like the turquoise colours and knit design; the contoured fit on the foot is comfy. The merino wool is the BEST for performance and also the most expensive! The sock stays on the foot and in place, so no blister issues likely to occur. I have bought 'SmartWool' previously and am back for more - they wear and wear #I even go on wearing when I have worn through to a hole!#. Top Tip: Each foot within a 'normal' day will loose 1/2 eggcup full sweat; wool fibres can absorb up to 80% of their weight before they 'feel' wet; plus they have naturally occuring thermal properties, puts 'cotton' fibre socks well in the dark!

I have never bought a £12.00 pair of socks in my life! But these are so worth it. They are the supreme sock for fit and comfort. Made me realise what rubbish I have been wearing.
I have rheumatoid arthritis and so anything that makes my feet comfortable is well worth getting.

So comfy, nice and warm, prevent rubbing. Would prefer them slightly longer.

From the first moment I put these socks on, they felt wonderful. The wool is as Smart as it says it is. Warm but absolutely non-sweaty and no odour, even when wearing constantly. The non-wool element helps to keep shape and hug the foot. The most comfortable socks I've ever worn. A little disappointed the toe went through very quickly. I'd still buy more.
