Where are my socks, my gorgeous, warm, comfortable lovely socks? You know that feeling when you're looking for your favourite item of clothing and can't find it. The slight panic that sets in, because you can't live without it? Well, these socks are like that, especially when it's -30 degrees outside and you're relying on them to keep your feet warm, dry and comfortable. Whew, there they are where I left them last night, after a hard days sledding in the snow. Yes, they are bone-dry (they never got wet as they 'wicked' the moisture away from my feet while somehow staying dry themselves). I sniff them surreptitiously, they smell as good on day five as they did on day one. I put them on with relief and glee, feeling clever for having bought the perfect sock for any outdoor pursuit. 01 January 2013
