Skins Men's S400 L/S Top
I'd never tried compression clothing before, but I was completely blown away by it. I had this top paired with the 3/4 length S400 Tights for snowboarding.
They kept me toasty warm in quite cold conditions with only these and my snowboarding pants and jacket. For reference, I have North Face Free Thinker II pants and jacket which are both a gore tex technical shell with no padding or insulation so it's pretty impressive the compression tights where most of the warmth I needed. If it was really cold I could imagine one more thin layer would have sorted me out easily.
I've never felt better while snowboarding, muscles literally felt stronger and more responsive. After a first lift and last lift day with a short break for lunch I expect to feel pretty stiff and sore the next day especially at the start of a holiday when I haven't used some of those muscles for a while... not so this year, felt limber and flexible every day.
I'm quite a well built guy and I found the fit of the large about right, but it had a tendency to roll up at the back when I bent over which wasn't great. Easily solved by tucking it into the waistband of the compression tights then securing all of that in the waistband of my snowboard pants.
After a weeks use they had only just begun to emit any kind of smell which is pretty impressive.
I tried running in them as well when I got back, again, felt really good, kept me nice and warm and reduced muscle strain.
Would definitely recommend and I'm planning on buying some of their S200 range for other purposes.

What I was expecting but poor fit
The product is what I expected apart from the size problem M too small, XL baggy in stomach area, L (which I have) shot off in the body. I wear this for work and was hoping to wear it when for sports as well but with the size problem I'm not able to. When I bend over or even sit down the top comes up my back. When running in it the whole bottom comes up my stomach.
The silicone band around the bottom even though is compressed to my skin does nothing.
With my job I stand about and it keeps me nice and warm even when it's really cold, try to avoid wearing indoors. Even a few mins inside and it gets really itchy. But it's not for wearing indoors so doesnt matter.
The product quality is spot on and an obvious reason to why they cost what they do. Shame about the size issue, but I have got a larger chest and back. I'm guessing the fit will be good for the average person. I can still wear it for work so I'm happy overall.

Thermal sports top for cold weather.
This top does every thing it is supposed to. Warm, none restrictive ,not bulky under layers good for a variety of sports but has been used mostly for snowboarding and football training, the fit is very good but needs to be snug to get the best out of it. Suited to really cold conditions as the 200 series is perfect for cool or warm days, it doesn't make the body smell even when getting really hot, these tops or matching bottoms aren't cheap but even after loads of washes and a few years of use they still retain there shape and fit. I wear these every year as do my teenage children and we have all been impressed and felt the benefits over normal base layers or thermals.buy a top or bottoms every other month or two if you have a family to buy for as will be expensive to get all in one go.
