Pricey but well made and works efficiently The guide should be reviewed with the diamond discs as neither can be used on its own. The concept is good as the disc can be rotated to ensure the whole abrasive surface is used evenly, unlike rival products with an an oblong diamond file which only wears at the ends because of the waist and curvature of the ski edge in the vertical plane. However the abrasive does wear out and replacement stick on pads are expensive - I use silicon carbide paper between the ski and the discs which are easy to cut out, cheap and disposable. The device is not designed to file the ski bottom nor can the angle be adjusted, but the guide is well machined and does not mark the ski base. 23 April 2013
