Sidas Winter Custom Ski
Essential for a season.
I'm going to be spending the whole season in Canada on my skis come November, so for me, it's a no-brainier. I've never owned anything similar so I have nothing to compare them against, alls I know is that my feet have been comfy from the first moment of having these in my boots.

Must be correctly made to work properly
Had a pair of these made and was looking forward to feeling comfortable in my new ski boots. BUT it turns out that they were made incorrectly and were too high on one side of the heel, which forced my feet into a bad position, and in turn caused a lot of pain. On the upside, I had a new pair made, and these seem to be better, though I still have a problem of numb toes :o But that could be my boots.
I would recommend that all Snow and Rock staff are given refresher courses, or have a colleague check their work to make sure it's good.
TOP TIP: If you've had some of these made and your boots still give you trouble, don't assume it's your boots that need adjusting. Get a second opinion on your insoles.
TOP ASSISTANT: Mark at Hemel Hempstead - very helpful and knowledgeable.

Great extra comfort
I need extra arch support in my ski boots, and these insoles give that. The fitting was easy, and now my boots feel much more confortable!

Product not working for me
Im afraid my custom made insoles are not working for me. I think my hiking boots need to be half a size bigger. I am getting heel blisters something I never had before. I will contact Aoife to tell her.

can't 'live without it' !
i had these fitted for my new ski boots, as my last boots only had 'non custom' insole. with these and the combination of a new pair of boots that were a lot more expensive than my last pair. i now find i can pop the skis like for over 5 hours skiing(with breaks in between of course) wih out feeling any discomfort or pains. i have to say though thay are rather expensive. i think it was £67! bearing in mind the boots cost £430, however i did get the boots at 30% off.
would i pay for these expensive insoles again? yes 100% would. if you ski really hard and do tricks or race or ski like allllll day then yes, custom insoles are a must! i put down im intermediate cause i've only been skiing for 3 months, i had 3 months off. however i can pop a 180 and be in the air!

Well worth the extra cost
Bought these along with some new Intermediate ski boots. The following week spent in Cervinia, Italy.
What a difference they made!
A little ache in the feet the first day while I adjusted to the insoles but comfy as you like after that for the rest of the week.
The technician was correct! - They made a great positive difference to the weight transfer from boot to ski.
This made turning easier with less effort and most importantly less stress on the knees.
Highly recommended. Worth the £65 any day
