Sidas Winter Custom Ski
can't 'live without it' !
i had these fitted for my new ski boots, as my last boots only had 'non custom' insole. with these and the combination of a new pair of boots that were a lot more expensive than my last pair. i now find i can pop the skis like for over 5 hours skiing(with breaks in between of course) wih out feeling any discomfort or pains. i have to say though thay are rather expensive. i think it was £67! bearing in mind the boots cost £430, however i did get the boots at 30% off.
would i pay for these expensive insoles again? yes 100% would. if you ski really hard and do tricks or race or ski like allllll day then yes, custom insoles are a must! i put down im intermediate cause i've only been skiing for 3 months, i had 3 months off. however i can pop a 180 and be in the air!

Well worth the extra cost
Bought these along with some new Intermediate ski boots. The following week spent in Cervinia, Italy.
What a difference they made!
A little ache in the feet the first day while I adjusted to the insoles but comfy as you like after that for the rest of the week.
The technician was correct! - They made a great positive difference to the weight transfer from boot to ski.
This made turning easier with less effort and most importantly less stress on the knees.
Highly recommended. Worth the £65 any day

Worth Paying the Extra
Having bought my first ever pair of boots I wanted to ensure the fit was right. Highly recommend paying a little bit more to ensure the boot of your choice fits as it should. After all, if you're possibly paying a few hundred pounds for the boots you want to ensure they fit your feet as best the can, not only for performance, but comfort as well.

best ski/sport purchase
Worth every penny - I bought these as and addition to my ski boots as i thought they would improve my overall ski experience (nothing worse than uncomfortable/cold feet!).
These were the best purchase and such a treat for my feet.. I have now transferred the custom insoles to my other shoes/trainers also.

Moulds the foot. Very comfortable, especially compared with the average insole. Quite pricey but worth it.

You really need these
When I first looked into buying ski boots, I was expecting to swap the uncomfortable, cramped, damaged and generally unpleasant world of rental boots for a never ending foot massage in my own, comfortable boots. I was right - the boots I bought are amazing, stylish and infinitely more comfortable and supportive than any rental boots I have ever had. Continuing on this theme I thought that custom insoles would be the addition I needed to really mould the boots to my foot, as well as attempt to correct my skiing posture and overall boot comfort levels.
Having custom moulds fitted is not an easy experience. First, you take your shoes and socks off and stand on a foot shaped mould. Next, the ski boot fitter starts to draw on your foot, draw on the mould and generally make you tickle. Next, you stand on a vacuum type mould and have to maintain the same position whilst the foot beds are created. Then there is a 20 minute wait whilst the insoles are made.
Following this you have to walk around in your new boots with the insoles for 20 minutes, with the boot and insole heated up to aid bonding.
