The Schoffel Women’s Fergie Dynamic Primaloft Pant is great for all mountain exploration. Waterproof,
breathable and insulated with light weight PrimaLoft® insulation, this pant will continue to keep you warm
even when wet. Schoffel’s Venturi fabric contains incredible stretch, which gives you the freedom of movement
that you need to really explore what you are capable of. Although Venturi fabric is extremely durable, there
are reinforcement patches at the ankles to protect the pant from ski edges, and there are waterproof zips,
powder gaiters and a Recco emergency reflector on hand to provide you with the protection and confidence that
you need to venture into the unknown.
| Venturi Stretch 2L | Schoffel's own performance
fabric with 4-way stretch properties for excellent freedom of movement. Totally windproof, waterproof,
breathable and soft. |
| Waterproof Rating | This is measured and expressed
as Hydrostatic Head in millimetres (mm). To find out the Hydrostatic Head of a fabric the manufacturer will
take a clear tube and clamp their material over the bottom end. They will then fill the tube slowly with
water and watch to see how high the column of water can get before the material lets drips through. The
higher the hydrostatic head, the better the water protection. The European Standard a fabric must meet to be
classified as waterproof is a Hydrostatic Head rating of 1500mm, and on average, outerwear fabrics tend to
have a hydrostatic head of 10000mm and above. |
| Breathability Rating | Measurement based on the
Hohenstien test. Fabric is placed above a porous (sintered) metal plate. The plate is heated and water is
channelled into the metal plate, simulating perspiration. The plate is then kept at a constant temperature.
As water vapour passes thru the plate and the fabric, it causes Evaporative Heat Loss and therefore more
energy is needed to keep the plate at a constant temperature. |
| RET | RET is the measurement of the resistance to
evaporative heat loss. The lower the RET value, the less resistance to moisture transfer and therefore
higher breathability. Hohenstein added a unique aspect to their testing. They had real people wear garments
made with the fabrics of varying RET values and work out on a treadmill. They gathered comments of the testers
and correlated this to the RET values of the fabrics and came up with a Comfort Rating System. RET 0-6: Very
Good or Extremely Breathable - Comfortable at higher activity rate. RET 6-13: Good or Very Breathable -
Comfortable at moderate activity rate. RET 13-20: Satisfactory or Breathable - Uncomfortable at high activity rate.
RET 20-30: Unsatisfactory or Slightly Breathable - Moderate comfort at low activity rate. RET 30+: Unsatisfactory or
Not Breathable - Uncomfortable and short tolerance time.

| PrimaLoft® insulation | Soft, durable and compressible
high loft insulation with excellent thermal efficiency and breathability. Uses the finest microfibres to
provide the touch and warmth of down yet is outstandingly water repellent and dries more quickly than down. |
| RECCO® Avalanche Rescue Reflector | Using sophisticated
radar technology, the Recco reflector forms the passive element of a 2-part avalanche search system. Ski resorts
and mountain rescue teams carry Recco detectors, which send out a search signal, and the Recco® reflector bounces
back a directional signal that directs the rescuer straight to the reflector. More than 600 resorts and rescue
services around the world use the Recco Rescue System as part of their immediate response. |
