I should have listened to the other negative reviews about the Scarpa Women's Baltoro Lady Gore-Tex. The ankle section is not comfy, along with the overall feeling. Instead I bought and kept the Merrell Chameleon Arc 2 Rival Waterproof, a wonderfully comfy pair of hiking boots for women!

After fantastic help at your Covent Garden store I settled with these boots. They served me very well on a recent trip hiking in Iceland. My feet remained comfortable and I felt confident on steep terrain in these boots. Great purchase.

These are great boots; they are really lightweight but sturdy. I bought them for climbing Kilimanjaro next year. Really impressed so far!

I was in the market for a pair of hiking boots for a four day walk I was doing in the Apilles mountains in France in April. I wanted a boot that would be waterproof should the heavens open, but also one that would keep my foot dry inside without chaffing or rubbing. I have a slightly wide foot so the boot fitter suggested I try both Scarpa and Solomon for my 'anglo' foot. The Solomon boots would have been fine, but the Scarpas just "fit" better. Scarpas are typically made for a narrower, 'European' foot I was told, however these Scarpa Baltoro's gave me no cramps or compromising circulation in the four days I wore them.
From walking along dirt paths for miles each day, or on pavement through small towns and villages, to doing some significant rock scrambling on the last day of my French hike, these boots delivered! I never felt unstable or like I couldn't feel the earth beneath my foot. Even when on unstable ground and my ankle gave out, the boots propped me back up.
I did wear liner socks and good hiking sock with these boots, so bear in mind that you may want to go up a half size. Again, if you buy your boots in stores the boot fitters will assist with the comfort and fit.
The only 'con' if you can really call it that, is that I am not keen on the pink laces. But one could always buy new laces.
I look forward to having these great boots for years to come and will certainly buy again from Snow + Rock for my outdoor needs.

Bought these boots for my daughter to do The Tens Tors challenge as her previous boots gave her loads of blisters. I got these boots myself in the summer and they have been brilliant. Completed the Collis Crill Jersey Walk of 48 miles without a blister to my name. Can't fault them at all.

these are my second pair of scarpa boots, only replaced the first because I wore them out. These are comfortable with a great grippy sole for wet weather and I am very confident that they will carry me many miles over Austrian mountains and Yorkshire dales

Took these on a hiking holiday in Norway. Were extremely comfortable on rocky steep terrain. Waterproof (gortex) and great ankle support.

These boots are excellent. There are loads on the market to choose from so I did wonder whether it was worth buying top of the range, to get good quality. I hadn't bought any walking boots before, but have been delighted with my choice and the fact that they were the most reasonable in price. I've just come back from the Isle of Skye on a walking holiday and wore them everyday so needed comfort. They feel stout but are surprisingly lightweight to wear, waterproof when they need to be, but most importantly, have a bit of pink on them to add a bit of bling......
