Excellent fit and comfort. Just what I was looking for. They have performed well so far
Comfortable sturdy and waterproof. Just what I was looking for - both on canal banks and on the fells.

Good shoe!
I bought this mainly to use as a day to day shoe, so I wanted something comfortable and not to garish but could also cope with walking relatively long distances when I get bored.
It does this well, I find it very comfortable to use from day to day and walked 20 miles a couple of days after buying it without any blisters. It is quite a warm shoe, which whilst brilliant in the winter means it may not be ideal to wear for long periods in very hot weather.
Whilst I mainly use it on road, where the relatively hard sole seems to be holding up well so far, it is also very grippy on mud etc. The hard sole does mean however, that it is not very good on hard, wet surfaces where it provvides very little grip. The waterproofing appears to be perfect, but of course given it has low anckles, in wet conditions water tends to get in via the opening, although nothing like as rapidly as if it wan't waterproof!

lightweight comfortable with known build queslity
I bought these as I have had nearly 4 years excellent wear out of the similar design but heavier duty shoe. I wanted something lighter for warmer conditions. My original pair have provided very comfortable wear for trekking, dog walking etc.
