I tried these boots out but didn't buy in the end despite having had Scarpa boots for about 10 years. The Ranger 1's were a perfect fit, and universally recognised for quality and comfort. However the Ranger 2's have 2 new features. 1 is 'squidgey' memory foam inner soles, instead of firm inner soles, which is down to personal preference, although I prefer a firmer feel when going over uneven ground, rocks etc. 2 is a protruding ankle support, that is not in the right place for everybody, causing a rubbing point (blisters beware). I could possibly have got past 1, but the ankle support I couldn't ignore, unfortunately. Try them out before buying. New features not universally suited to all feet.

Fantastic boots! Comfortable, supportive, have never let me down.
This is the third time I've bought the Scarpa Gor-Tex range of boots; these are even more comfortable and supportive than the last. The higher ankle support, tendon cushion and easy lacing are excellent new features. Love the stylish looks too. I'd always choose Scarpa now.

Good product fit for purpose.
I've worn the new boots a couple of times and they are very comfortable and robust. My wife has had two pairs of Scapa walking boots and swears by them.

Very comfortable for all-day use
Since buying these I've used them in a variety of locations and on different surfaces and conditions in UK and Iceland. Haven't yet used them in a very cold climate. They feel a little tight when first put on but within a minute they are simply the most comfortable walking boot I've owned. I clean and wax them after a days use and really hope they last for many years. Initially I thought they were very expensive but I'm rapidly coming round to appreciating having spent the money.
