These boots are the mustard!!
I have previously owed a pair before and they have given great service.
Worn nearly every day for over two years.
Very good support around the ankles ,a good lacing system and comfortable too!
Good for a variety of uses on a variety of ground. Used mine mainly in the UK in all weathers on snow and rock.
Keep them clean and use good products such as "Nikwax" fabric and leather proof and they will provide you comfortable hard wearing boots.

I have taken these up Snowdonia today in decent winter conditions and they were more than up to the job.Good solid boots and definitely waterproof i was up to my knees in snow and even went through some hidden ice which completely submerged the boot up to the ankle and my socks were bone dry!! they have plenty of ankle support and a good firm sole only downside they don't like tarmac no surprise there though. My spikes fitted snuggly and they worked well together no breaking in needed and no hot spots, blisters or any other rubbing. Its only my first run out in them but i get feeling i would be singing their praises six months from now.

I was nervous about buying this, my first all winter boot, as I am with all boot purchases as they're so expensive and you don'ty know how well they fit until it's too late to return them. These were recommended to me by a mountaineer and after buying them I heard several more say that this was the boot they used. Despite being heavier and more rigid than the Meindl Nepal Pro's thesy replaced, they felt comfortable staright away in the shop. The memebr of staff helping me in the Didsbury store was very helpful and I left feeling confident that the boots would be good. I have not been disappointed. I wore them around the house a couple of evenings and then took them to Scotland for some winter hillwalking.
The wide fit suits me because I get cold feet and the room helps with this. Wriggle room, but the lacing system keeps the foot secure.
They were comfortable for the long walk in, and when we got to the snow, the ankle support is good, the edges and toes are great for kicking steps in. They fit my crampons like a glove. I felt very safe in these boots.
The one downside for me is that the boots were not waterproof. After walking off a hill below the snow and covering soggy ground, in the rain, my feet were damp. But they stayed warm. That week was the boots only outing so far so maybe they will be more waterproof after treating.
In short- these are brilliant mountain boots for use in the snow. They're comfortable enough for walking when there's no snow, but they're not ideal all-rounder boots due to them not being waterproof.

Worn them this weekend to break them in. They didn't need it; they were as comfy as old slippers from start to finish (nearly 10 hours of walking later).
They kept my feet warm and dry despite the boggy terrain and ascending via a small stream. They offered great support too.
Staff were also excellent in the fitting. They combined their knowledge with my personal experiences with footbeds and came to a solution.
