The Scarpa Men's Mont Blanc GTX is a great all-round mountaineering boot that's built on the same basic chassis as the Phantom series. It offers great ankle mobility, cushioning and dexterity, and features a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane and a Vibram sole unit. Lighter and brighter than before, the boot is B3 rated, so can take fully rigid crampons.

Glossary

GORE-TEX Insulated Comfort Footwear lining:A lining that is ideal for all activities in cold weather conditions. It provides the optimum combination of breathability and waterproof protection, as well as warm moderate to heavy insulation.
Scarpa? Ergo Fit System:Allows maximum ankle mobility in the right directions for climbing sensitivity, whilst also giving the protection and support necessary for travelling on steep terrain.
Vibram Total Traction sole:Maximizes grip performance and increases cushioning. It allows enough flex for long approaches to be completed comfortably but, thanks to the Pro Fibre insole, it is stiff enough for Crampomatic crampons for climbing.
AG last:Has been formed using all the acquired knowledge of over 50 years of making mountaineering boots. It has excellent toe shaping for climbing and an improved forefoot shape to give a precise fit with enhanced comfort, while the heel has been shaped to provide superb heel hold. It brings together a superb technical fit for mountaineering and perhaps the highest levels of comfort yet achieved in such high performance mountaineering boots.
