The Salomon Women's XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX is an outstanding trail running shoe that features a GORE-TEX with XCR Product Technology membrane, and has been constructed using Salomon's 3D Advanced Chassis. The upper consists of Sensifit construction, a quick-drying breathable mesh upper, Quicklace, a mud guard and a protective rubber toe cap. Other features include a Running Contagrip outsole and Ortholite Sockliner, while the triple density EVA midsole with pronation control offers the perfect blend of cushioning, shock absorption, stability and support.

Glossary:

Gore-tex with XCR (Xtended Comfort Range) Product Technology: Durable waterproof and very breathable. 25% more breathability than classic GORE-TEX.
3D Advanced Chassis: Controls shoes twisting motion. Flexes under the heel to absorb shock and provide stability.
Sensifit: Actively cradles the foot to ensure a secure and precise fit for maximum stability.
Quicklace: Minimal and strong one hand, one-pull tightening lace that secures shoes quickly and provides good stability and support.
Running Contagrip: Outsole blends several different hardness combinations of Contagrip rubber for the perfect mix of grip and durability across varied terrain.
Ortholite Sockliner: Ortholite foam and EVA heel cup creates a cooler, drier, healthier foot.
EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate): A polymer used to absorb physical shock.
Pronation: The inward (medial) roll of the foot, in particular the heel and arch, which occurs naturally at the heel strike as a cushioning mechanism.
