I strongly recommend these boots!!! They are great; Dimitris I have started to ski since 2 years. After my first lesson in mountain Velouhi in Karpenisi of Greece, I knew that I would continue to ski forever. Easy to put on, easy to walk in, super warm, and great skiing performance for every skier They offer amazing Technologies such as a) My Custom Fit Sport Thermo formable foam on the ankles and the tongue for a personalized and durable comfort b) Ride & Hike technology Salomon patented system combining the backbone release with a specific V-cut shape on the back of the lower shell. Allows wide rear cuff opening when hiking (Backbone unlocked) & true alpine forward flex when skiing down (Backbone locked) because the backside of the backbone fits precisely into the V-cut lower shell I am so happy that I chose Snow+Rock for my best buy of 2013… 17 June 2013
This product is unbelievable value. This product is absolute fantastic, Snow and Rock have put the price very competitively and for the money you will not find a more comfortable boot which is a good all rounder to a pretty high standard. The unlocking mechanisms gives great feel and makes those long days on the slopes just that bit more comfortable. Fit is great, comfortable boots and nice and warm with a rigid structure! 27 May 2013

The Salomon Quest Access 80 is part of a new wave of ski boots that focus on ease of use, all-mountain versatility, comfort and performance. Perfect for recreational to advanced skiers, the Quest Access 80 features Salomon's Hike & Ride technology, which lets you switch between ski and walk modes. It also has a new My Custom Fit Sport liner that is heat mouldable for a custom fit, and uses Woolmetal insulation to keep feet warm, while the cuff wraps perfectly around the calf thanks to a clever ratchet buckle and has a generous 4cm of adjustment.

Glossary:

Ride & Hike tech:Patented Salomon tech combines the backbone release with a specific V-cut shape on the back of the lower shell. The backside of the backbone fits precisely into the V-cut lower shell and when locked gives true alpine forward flex for skiing. For hiking, the backbone is released to allow wide rear cuff opening.
Custom Fit Sport liner:Thermoformable foam on the ankle and tongue for personalized and durable comfort.
Backbone release:Taken from the X3 Lab boot, a magnesium piece linking the cuff to the shell provides solid back support and rebound, and a progressive forward flex when locked. When unlocked for hiking, the cuff is released at the back for a wider opening and easier heel to toe transition.
Single canting:Enables cuff alignment to the lower leg shape. Allows the cuff to be moved towards the interior.
