Great lightweight boot
Amazingly comfortable, lightweight and fantastic waterproofing. Completing a 10 mile walk on a heavy rainy day and my feet were as dry as they were at the start of the day. Fantastic boot

Without doubt these are the most comfortable boots I have ever had. Unfortunately the first pair made a sound as though I was walking in wellies. First rate service at Snow & Rock and they replaced the boots and the next pair were better with only the right boot making the welly noise. Really torn as they are so comfortable and could be worn all day without any fatigue, but to me the noise was a real issue. So once again returned and S and R offered a refund.

Light, extremely comfortable, very happy!!
I am extremely pleased with these x ultra mid gtx boots. I've worn them on a couple of scrambles in snowdonia and can't rate them highly enough. They are light, maneurverable and gentle around the ankles when scrambling on all 4's, completely waterproof during heavy rain and stomping through streams, and keep feet completely dry and comfortable all day long. I have worn them casually with jeans due to their versatile styling, and intend to take them skiing this winter. I have already recommended them to a friend who was looking for a walking shoe. The only drawback comes when/if you slip and the side of the boot makes contact with a rock, you can feel the rock a little more than if you were wearing a leather sided boot - that's it! All in all a solid 9.5 out of 10.

Worth every penny
These are the first pair of proper boots that I've ever been able to wear. They fit narrow feet extremely well, and they provide a lot of ankle support. They're also light enough for everyday-use in the city.
They do cost a few bob, but these boots are worth the investment.

Quality footwear for the UK festival season... for walking, standing, moshing, etc.
I'm not a walker, or a climber, or any other outdoor pursuits type of guy, I bought these for the UK summer festival season.
I wanted something that would be comfy for many miles of walking and hours of standing around, in all sorts of conditions. I needed something that would be water(mud)proof, and something that would be durable enough for the moshpit :)
After a couple of weekends away of both rain and shine, the boots have survived intact and my feet are comfortable and dry. Job done! I'm so glad to have thought ahead and bought these!

I bought these as a last-minute replacement for a pair of Merrills (that reached the end of life) for an endurance event.
The good bits:
1. Light, flexible
2. Great fit - without pinch-points
3. Sole is grippy
The less good bits:
1. Without gaiters or long trousers, little stones get into the boots - which can be said of any boot. The frustrating thing is that they lodge in a gap between the dual material of the Ortholite insole. Which means that tipping out the boot doesn't get rid of the stones. the little stones (sub 2mm) can be felt under the heel, and the sole needs removing and flexing to get rid of them.
2. On a hot day, the Gore-tex makes for hot feet, so sock-changes become necessary if blisters are to be avoided.
As with any lightweight boot, I'm fully expecting them to die after 5-600 hard miles, with the Gore-tex lining failing at the flex-points first.
