Incredibly warm and light I have worn this jacket on 3 ski trips this year. It really is a first rate jacket. I have worn it as an outer layer and it has kept me warm even in temperatures down to minus 35. That is really saying something as I have pretty low body fat and generally feel the cold. I could not believe that a jacket as light as this could be so warm. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The only small problem I have had is that the jacket is so light and thin that it is prone to being nicked by the ski edges when you are carrying them and I have had to sew one little cut up as it was shedding the down through it. RAB - almost the perfect jacket but a little more reinforcement on the shoulders would prevent this. Buy it! 20 March 2013

Jacket has stunning build quality Sat on the fence for a while about buying this jacket. I'm really glad I went for it in the end. The build quality is simply unmatched. I'm becoming a firm fan of Rab's stuff now. Jacket is super light but certainly not flimsy. It's a great feature that it just packs away into it's own pocket. Great for cold mountain work. Rab Microlite Jacket My son has been looking at these jackets for some time and I ordered this for his christmas present. When it arrived I could not believe how small and light the parcel was. The Rab Men’s Microlight Alpine Jacket is insulated with 140g /5oz (size large) of US750 fill European goose down and has a Pertex® Microlight weather resistant outer fabric providing maximum warmth for minimal weight. The narrow baffle structure minimises down migration and provides optimum loft ensuring efficient heat distribution and allowing the jacket to be compressed down and stowed inside the chest pocket for ease of transport.
