Outdoor Research Women's Revolution Glove

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant I purchased these gloves as I have arthritis in my finger joints and when they get cold they are very painful. I have a pack of retired guide dogs and am out walking for about 3.5 hours a day in Scotland. The pack usually have 2 or 3 balls 'on the go' and of course these get slimy, wet and cold. Material gloves are useless as they get wet and take so long to dry. I therefore after searching for ages, chose these but was concerned about the price given that I didn't know if they would exactly fit the purpose for which I wanted them. Well, they are amazing, the insides are so, so soft and they are completely waterproof and windproof and when my hands have warmed up my fingers tingle with warmth, it is so lovely. Unfortunately, by the time I actually get to put the gloves on my hands are really cold and hurting as I have to get my car out of garage, put collars and leads on dogs, open metal gates, pick up poos etc etc which means that by the time I actually get to put my hands in the gloves my finger joints are red, swollen and painful. This is my problem certainly not the gloves and it takes about half an hour for my fingers to stop hurting and warm up but even this is far quicker than any other gloves I've used. The only slight downside is that they are a bit too thick to fold and put in my pockets when I'm picking up poos etc but that is nothing compared to the positives. At some point towards the end of the walks my hands have warmed up so much that I actually have to take them off and then I just let them hang off my wrists by the cords to stop me dropping them. Nothing but praise for these gloves. 25 November 2014
