Volkl RTM 81 2015 4.7 5 3 3
Volkl RTM 81 2015 This is an exceptional ski for anyone who mostly sticks to the piste and occasionally ventures off to the sides or through the trees . Edge grip amazing , it likes to go fast but also very happy to cruise . 16 February 2015
Great powerful ski This is a wonderfully powerful ski. As a heavier power skier this handled everything that was thrown at it. Very stable at speed while carving and handled the chop very well. It maynot suit a light skier as it is quite stiff but if you push it it will reward you. It is easy to turn and handled some soft snow well. (I didn't get the chance to fully try off piste as I was having such a good time front side). I would recommend this ski for advanced and expert skiers. 10 February 2015
Good ski for the groomed stuff Spent a week on these skis and they are a decent ski, the hold and stability on hard pack was very good however their performance on soft snow/powder wasn't that great and was lacking. Design wise the skis look great. Overall whilst classed as an "all mountain" variant i feel they are best suited to the piste. 08 January 2015

Glossary

Dual XTD Transmission Sidewall:A light but highly stable full rocker shape, paired with an extra wide longitudinal reinforcement above the ski deck. The reinforcement belts are aligned to channel stress toward the outside of the ski. This works with the sidewall construction to prevent chatter and ensure that the necessary pressure is applied to the edges at high speeds.
XTD Fullsensor woodcore:Created in a complex CNC milling process, this highly sophisticated milling program enables Völkl to produce wood cores with extreme precision. It is ‘extended’ upward and lengthwise, milled to form the chambers of the Dual XTD Transmission construction The material is a blend of poplar and beech wood.
Full rocker:A smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail, with matching sidecut and flex. Extended Low Profile (ELP) gives the skier all the benefits of added maneuverability in soft snow while also delivering smooth, graceful arcs on groomed terrain.
