Rated 5 out of 5Â by Daf72 Very good, comfy and slightly miraculous (no, really) trousers
I bought these trousers as I wanted ones that I could wear in all sorts of weather - lightweight and with a good UPF on the off chance we would have a hot summer but also good for inclement weather, as when I first tried them out.
I wore them up Pen y Fan on a ridiculously horrible St David's Day (30-40mph winds, gusts up to 70mph and fairly constant rain, hail or snow), with some new Berghaus overtrousers and a merino base layer. They were really comfy to wear, good movement (didn't feel restricted at all) and I was perfectly nice and warm.
The blurb claims that they're breathable - they certainly seemed to be as other than some dampness on my calves I was bone dry - I think the trousers only got damp when I was putting on my overtrousers (which also seemed to be nicely breathable).
In case you're wondering / eagerly awaiting, with baited breath, to find out what makes these trousers slightly miraculous - well it's to do with a mistake on Snow & Rock's part. I wanted a 38" waist (or the nearest equivalent) and found the trousers to be slightly snugger than expected when they arrived but I was trying to lose a little weight anyway so didn't worry too much. It wasn't until after my walk that I saw they were 36", not 38" so they're officially slightly miraculous slimming trousers (or maybe I'd already lost a bit of weight). I suspect that I'd still be fine wearing a 38", as the 36" certainly isn't an overly generous fit for me but it's still comfy.

The North Face Men's Horizon Cargo Pant are ideal for everyday wear as the brand is renowned and appealing to those with an eye for quality. However, they really come into their own when worn in robust use, hiking and scrambling over arduous terrain. Or, simply just walking the dog through a leafy park.
These lightweight trousers look good and are surprisingly strong and tough. They dry quickly whilst being worn in boggy conditions and have an adequate number of secure pockets for your items to keep safe. If they do get wet and muddy, once dry, the mud brushes off easily. Although, being muddy doesn't detract from this outdoor wear. It just adds that 'rugged look touch' to them.
If you're picking up the pace they feel cool and airy but still warm enough when the temperature drops to be quite comfortable. Moisture wicks off in light drizzles and the skin underneath never feels uncomfortable or drenched.
I mostly wear mine for walking my big dog in unfavourable, damp conditions. Having said that, unlike my other outdoor trousers, these pants don't tend to hold onto the numerous amounts of dog hair that he always sheds.
With 40 years of hiking experience behind me and hopefully many more in front of me, I have bought another pair already and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as being great value for the novice and experienced alike.
